The management of The Melbourne Foundation comprises the following people:
Michael Cotton – Chairman
Michael is a founding member of the Foundation, being a director since 2006
Michael currently works at WINconnect as Executive General Manager – Commercial responsible for Strategy, M&A and partnerships. Prior to WINconnect he worked in a similar role for three years at Mayne Pharma. Prior to Mayne Pharma Michael worked in management consulting and investment banking for over 10 years in Melbourne, London and Hong Kong for LEK Consulting, ABN Amro and Credit Suisse.
Michael studied at the University of Melbourne and achieved a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours).
Adrian Dark
Adrian is a founding member of the Foundation, being a director since 2006.
Adrian currently works as head of the property and infrastructure research team for Citi in Melbourne. He previously worked at Credit Suisse in Sydney in property research and derivatives trading.
Adrian studied at the University of Melbourne, and graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) and a Bachelor of Laws.
Sam Marks
Sam has been a director since 2013.
Sam is the Managing Director of the Early Stage Venture Group a business working on developing and growing companies in Australia. Prior to this role Sam was the Managing Director of an ASX Listed energy efficiency company bringing extensive corporate experience and governance to the Foundation.
Sam has over 20 years of global commercial experience with General Electric, Pricewaterhouse Coopers, Arthur Andersen and various early stage start-ups.
Sam is a Chartered Accountant with a Bachelor of Business from RMIT University.
Sid Khotkar
Sid is a founding member of The Melbourne Foundation and is also a member of its Fundraising Committee.
Sid is based in Melbourne and leads the Australian & New Zealand operations of pan-Asian private equity firm PAG Asia Capital. He previously worked at another private equity firm, TPG Capital, and prior to that worked at investment bank Goldman Sachs.
Sid studied at the University of Melbourne and was awarded a Bachelor of Commerce (with Honours in Finance), and completed a Masters of Business Administration at the Harvard Business School.
Jason Perri
Jason is Co-Treasurer of The Melbourne Foundation.
Jason currently works at private equity firm TPG Capital in Melbourne. He previously worked at investment bank Credit Suisse in Melbourne.
Jason completed a Bachelor of Commerce and a Juris Doctor at the University of Melbourne.
Gillian Denison
Gillian is the Company Secretary of The Melbourne Foundation.
Gillian is a lawyer and currently works in-house. She previously worked in corporate finance at Herbert Smith Freehills in Melbourne and also at a law firm in London.
Gillian completed a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commercial at the University of Western Australia.
Khuzair Rehan
Khuzair is Operations Manager of The Melbourne Foundation. Khuzair was the first recipient of a Melbourne Foundation Scholarship in 2007.
Khuzair currently works within the Transport and Infrastructure team at KPMG. He previously worked as a Civil Engineer in the Infrastructure group at Aurecon.
Khuzair completed a Bachelor of Commerce / Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) at Monash University and received the University Medal for Undergraduate Academic Excellence for graduating as Dux of the Engineering Faculty.
