The Melbourne Foundation’s four founding directors conceived the ideals of the Foundation in 2003 whilst sitting an Honours year together at the University of Melbourne.

Michael Cotton
Michael studied at the University of Melbourne and achieved a Bachelor of Science / Commerce (Hons). He currently works at ABN AMRO in Hong Kong.


Adrian Dark
Adrian studied at the University of Melbourne and graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) / LLB. He currently works at Credit Suisse.


Siddharth Khotkar
Sid studied at the University of Melbourne and achieved a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons). He currently works at Texas Pacific Group.


Thomas O’Mara
Thomas studied at the University of Melbourne and achieved a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons). He currently works at Morgan Stanley.

The Melbourne Foundation consults with a number of specialists in education and philanthropy. These individuals have provided guidance and assistance throughout the process of establishing the Foundation, and are consulted on an ongoing basis.
